The National Award for Special achievement is awarded to those who achieve distinction for the country from abroad.

After successful completion of her studies, Ms. Mailka returned to Maldives on 24 October 2001, and is presently employed at MCST as the Assistant Director in charge of Information Technology. She is currently leading the team that is working on formulating the National ICT Policy.
